FAQs

Q:  Do you offer a military discount?

A:  Yes!  Use code MILPOLFIREMS if you are military, law enforcement, fire, or EMS.

Q:  Do the owners work in the military and public safety?

A:  Yes!  We are currently 1st responders and still in the National Guard.  We are staying relevant by doing the things we create products for… that being said, it may take us a second to return emails because of this fact.

Q:  Does the IFAK come full stocked with medical supplies?

A:  No!  While the cost of stocking the kit varies greatly depending on the type of supplies used, quality medical gear is expensive.  A fully stocked trauma kit would cost about $300.  Don’t believe us… check out kits on North American Rescue.

Q:  Will the emergency bivy be as warm and durable as a normal sleeping bag?

A:  No!  This folds down smaller than a soda can and is extremely light weight.  That being said, the material we use is significantly stronger than a typical space blanket.  It is designed to be small and light and keep you alive, not comfortable.

Q:  If I can’t figure out how to work one of your products should I just write a negative review?

A:  Please reach out to us first.  We would be glad to answer any questions you might have.  We have videos we can send you.  We want everyone to get the full potential out of their products and we are here to help.

Q:  What does ThinLyneRanch® mean?

A:  ThinLyneRanch® is a tribe of like-minded people who know that in our profession, we can’t guarantee safety.  We mitigate risk with preparedness.  The Thin Line is all too often the only thing standing between order and chaos in our society.  Ranch comes from the Spanish word “Rancho” which originated as a place where friends gathered to eat.  Our goal is to help our fellow Americans stay prepared, because we can’t always be safe.

Q:  Are you guys just a bunch of patriotic cowboys?

A:  Yes!  We ride horses, salute the flag, go to church, and say, “Yes, Sir and No, ma’am.”  On our days off, you will find us on a horse somewhere in God’s Country.
